School holiday activities for young adventurers! Our days will be filled with learning new skills, trying new activities, exploring and most importantly having fun doing it!


During the school holidays we will be offering full days of kayaking, climbing, mini coasteering, abseiling, team games, archery as well as exploring the wonderful west coast environment for ages 7 to 13
 
We also offer a junior program of fun learning activities for the younger age group of 4 to 6 years old.

ADVENTURE DAYS

Fun and challenging activities in a landscape full of wildlife and history will be of great benefit to any child and our experienced instructors and leaders will make sure that all young adventurers gain the most they can from their time with us safely and enjoyably.


Adventure Days are open to anyone from 8 to 13.  A full Monday to Friday (9am to 3pm) costs  £185.  Lunchtime supervision is included, drinks and all specialist equipment and clothing for the activities will be provided as well transportation to all venues.

 

Junior Adventure Days are for ages 4 to 6, A full program of learning activities in the outdoors as much as possible will be provided,  as well as full supervision by our experienced staff. Monday to Friday provision will cost £140 per child.

All instructors and leaders are hand picked by us for their skill and commitment and are fully police checked.  Our coordinators this year are  Nic Legg and Tanya Martel. Nic and Tanya both have a vast amount of experience in delivering high quality and fun provison for young people.

Nicholas Legg

 

Activities Coordinator

 

Qualifications: BA (Hons) Theatre Arts, Education and Deaf Studies.

 

After finishing my degree I worked for a year at Le Rondin School. I am currently studying towards a post-graduate certificate in Education, to complete primary school teacher training.

 

Prior to joining the team at Outdoor Guernsey I was fortunate to gain seven years experience working with children throughout the school holidays. Whilst there I was in-charge of co-ordinating the activities for primary aged children and responsible for managing my assistant staff.   

 

I lead an active social life with interests including: sports, (coaching and watching), walking, the arts, signing (BSL) and history.

 

I am delighted to be a member of the Outdoor Guernsey team and look forward to meeting you and welcoming your children.

 

 

 

Tanya Martel

 

Activities Instructor

 

Qualifications: BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies

 

 

I have recently completed a degree in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies this has reinforced my love of working with children. My interests are endless, I have passion for the great outdoors, enjoy sports-especially team games. My perfect way to spend a day is to go for a summer walk enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of Guernsey and summer sun.

 

Adventure days is the perfect way to combine all my interests. I look forward to meeting you and working with your children.

What activities will the young people take part in


The activities will be a selection of our usual kayaking, climbing, environmental exploring (junior coasteering) archery, team games, trips to places of interest ( eg
lihou ) adventure walks, treasure hunts etc etc. The activities will be
weather dependant and subject to change.  Details will be given closer to
the time.
