Coasteering is a unique adventure sport in which you can experience the exhilaration of sea level traversing, rock scrambling, jumping, and swimming in gullys and caves. It is a fun and exciting coastal exploration along the wild and beautiful Guernsey and Sark shorelines.

It couldn't be more simple. We will kit you out in a 5mm wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet then we scramble, climb, swim and jump our way around the Island's spectacular rocky coastline, turning rocks, cliffs, caves and waves into playthings! Jumping is not compulsory but most people like to try it.

We have a number of routes suitable for different abilities or occasions. We run regular coasteering explorations most days throughout the season which are open to everyone. All routes can be booked by groups for a private experience.

These routes are suitable for most people and make up the bulk of our coasteering explorations throughout the year.  They are a great mixture of gullies, caves, scrambling, and jumping.  Our instructors will vary the route according to the ability or interest of the group but they will always find something exciting, interesting and challenging for you. Non swimmers are able to take part.

Petit Bot right

Petit Bot left

La Moye

Moulin Huet

These routes will challenge you with higher jumps and more demanding climbs or swims. They will take you to places normally inaccessible by foot and are suitable for anyone that has tried our standard routes and wants to try something even more exciting or for anyone with reasonably good fitness and confident in their ability to move over rock. These routes can be suitable for non swimmers.

Saints Bay

Telegraph bay

Black routes coasteering.

Longer routes, more exciting conditions, fun and challenge and lots of exploring with our expert guides.  This is their idea, they want to share the excitement of 'real' coasteering on a regular basis with any of you prepared to test yourselves.

These trips are suitable for people who have coasteered before or anyone with good fitness and mobility. These routes may even take in a bit of "off piste" coasteering! These routes can be booked by private groups by arrangement.

Telegraph Bay and Peastacks

La Moye to Petit Bot

Moulin Huet/Saints

La Congerelle

Petit Port / Peastacks

What do I wear?

We will kit you out in full Sola 5mm wetsuits  as well as buoyancy aids and helmets.

You should bring a towel, a rash vest or T-shirt to wear inside the wetsuit, shorts to wear over the top and trainers to wear during the activity..

How fit do I have to be?

Coasteering involves swimming, scrambling over rocks and some jumping (if you dare) a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required but you do not need to be an athelete! The instructor will vary the route according to the ability of the group. Coasteering is also suitable for famillies and young people over the age of 10. We have a range of different sized wetsuits from xs to XXL.

What if I dont want to jump off the high jumps?

No problem. The instructors will show you a variety of techniques for entering the water and there is always different way if you want to miss out any of the jumps!

Marie Said...

It's been a couple of weeks now since our group went Coasteering but before time moves on any further I just wanted to say thanks again for a brilliant 'adventure'. From booking to the actual day, everything went smoothly and the staff were all fantastic - my guests ( most of whom flew in especially that weekend for a birthday celebration ) all loved it no matter what their age, from 14 - 63, the verdict was unanimous - Brilliant! So much so, that they have all requested an annual adventure weekend in Guernsey - you have been duly warned!

Thanks again to all at Outdoor Guernsey. Marie
