Outdoor Guernsey

Outdoor Guernsey offer a number of different options for childrens parties. Choose from Archery, indoor wall climbing, outdoor climbing, coasteering, kayaking or raft building. These sessions are suitable for all abilities and all equipment is supplied. All our instuctors are qualified in the activity and fully police checked and insured, all are used to working with young people and will be available to answer any questions you may have.

These Parties will take place at one of the Islands sheltered bays or harbours, Rousse, Havelet, Portelet, Grande Harve or Cobo are the usual venues. The venue will be confirmed only after a reliable weather forecast has been obtained as kayaking venues are weather dependant. We will inform the organiser as soon as we are able to make a decision and they will pass the information on

We will supply all specialist equipment including cagoules, buoyancy aids and helmets. Your child should bring bathers and rash vest/tee shirt, wetsuit if they have one, old trainers or wet shoes, towel and clothes to change into after the session.

The parties will involve a little bit of paddling and a lot of fun and games, your child is likely to spend a fair amount of time in the water or getting wet. The group will not travel far from the shore and is fully supervised at all times

Indoors at Rue Mainguy scout headquarters or outside at our own private range, archery parties are fun for ages 9 or above.  Party goers will be instructed in how to safely use the equipment then our instructors will introduce fun competitions and games with lots of balloon popping!

Coasteering for parties is a fun junior version of our popular coasteering explorations for ages 9 and above. Petit Bot  or La Moye near le Gouffe  are our venues. All equipment is supplied and excitement guaranteed!

For the warmer months climbing and abseiling on real rock at the climbing tower or one of our local crags.  Challenging and very satisfying outdoor climbing provides thrills and plenty of healthy fresh air!

Indoors using Rue Mainguy's superb climbing wall, ideal for the winter months and can be combined with archery for 2 hours of great fun

Indoor climbing wall parties are usually held over one hour with many parents then hiring a room for party food and games. We are able to make all necessary arrangements for you.

There are strict rules regulating the use of climbing walls and we must observe a ratio of 6 climbers to 1 instructor for childrens parties.

Please note; There is a supplement of £7.50 per person levied by Les Mainguy's for the climbing wall.
